Giving to Get Rich?

While discussing giving generously to God in worship, the apostle Paul wrote:

“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:6-7).

Being Habitually Late

Sometimes things happen that are outside of our control, causing us to arrive late for certain events, but what about those who are repeatedly late for spiritual events when they could have been on time? Being habitually late may be a symptom of other underlying issues, such as:

– Selfishness
– Laziness
– Lack of respect for other people
– Lack of respect for God
– Misplaced priorities
– Lack of interest in spiritual things (being carnally-minded)

Being late can also have a negative impact on others around us:

Living Like an Animal

There was a time in my life when I was basically living like an animal, rather than a spirit created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26, 27). I was only seeking to fulfill my selfish desires.
