Years ago, an older brother in Christ gave me some advice that is worth sharing. He said if you are stressed about a lot of different things, take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle of the page. On one side of the page, write the things that you cannot control, and on the other side, list the things you can control. Then fold the page in half so you can only see what you can control. He said to focus on that and leave the rest up to God. I thought that was great advice, and it aligns with Biblical principles of being “anxious for nothing” but “let your requests be made known unto God” (Philippians 4:6-7). “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7). “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Take one day at a time (Matthew 6:34). Following is an illustration of the advice he gave:

Thank you Jason.
“Stop worrying about things that likely may never happen.”
A phrase that I discovered is quite accurate especially where those things are out of your control. For most of us there are times we feel the world is crumbling away under our feet . That’s a good time to put our shoes on. Don’t give up. Make an effort to jump out of the hole, change the subject and move forward.
